No Vampire Tonight

I’m going to be busy taking care of my daughter for a while because she has the coughs and a bit of recurring fever and I feel it’s taking longer for her to recover. She got the virus from my mom (actually everyone here except for me has the cough or the colds). I’m very choosey of which accounts I check on a daily basis so I don’t use up too much time online.

I also have a project I’m working on offline which will be due anytime soon. And aside from this, I have 2 huge boxes of clothes I need to wash (they’re my clothes from LB before I got pregnant), my cousins are also here at home with Regil (my cousin’s son) and there’s the paper works for next semester. So basically, my schedule is stuffed as it is.

Although I haven’t gone to any of the forums I usually drop by to, I checked a few online accounts today, call it daily routine if you might… I received a really nice testimonial from -ivory- in Friendster who by the way was from my highschool and elementary. She’s a very good friend since grade 4 and knows much of who I was back then.

17 Days and Counting…

I’m due on March 15 and apparently I only got a few days left to prepare for my baby’s coming! I’m so excited and at the same time real nervous!

I’m fixated at organizing my stuff for the hospital, and I got some stuff for baby as well. We’re scheduled to go for an ultra sound thing this week and I just had a very weird check up today. I have to go through a lot of medication now to keep me and baby from getting any illness. Baby’s been hyperactive lately! I’ve been nursing a very bad backache that comes and goes every now and then. I sure wish everything goes well when the day comes…. *grins*

Black Forest, Fries and Old Photos

I’m terribly craving for a big slice of black forest cake… I want those with tons of cherries in them… and extra chocolate shavings please… I am soooo drolling for it now.

My usual comfort food would be my best friend, chocolate, and on some ocassions, a really good pint of ice cream. But lately I have to maintain a healthy diet and in this case I have to put off without ice cream and chocolate for a while.

So my alternative? FRENCH FRIES! Hehehe, I know that’s carbo-loading but hey, I got to eat something enjoying and with my work load lately, I’ve been stressing out. I also enjoy pizza with lots and lots and lots of cheese. Yum!

I was cleaning up my files when I saw some pictures during the time I was studying, still active in a band and was busy with sports.

I miss wearing my clothes. Most of my clothes no longer fit me now. I still can’t believe I’ve bloated since then, of course I’m pregnant but I don’t know if I would be able to get my figure back. Do you want to see before pregnancy and current photos? Nah! How typical of a girl to be conscious of her size, right? I just can’t help but wonder if I could work myself back into shape again…

On Frats and Sors

Someone from my alma mater recently died, alledgedly killed during a fraternity initiation. It was all over the news last weekend and it was indeed a shocking and sad issue. My condolences to my schoolmate’s family.

The probability of endagering yourself during some frat event is one of the many reasons I never had any major interest with frat men. I don’t like the idea of public humiliation, ordering the person around with some difficult job, beating that same person into pulp just because he wanted to be part of your brotherhood. And when you do survive that ordeal, there’s the disciplinary actions, the risks of being in a frat war, etc.

I’ve witness first hand how a friend was hit with a steel tube in the head inside our campus building just because of the fact that his fraternity has an issue with another fraternity.

Sororities are not an exception, there has been violence in them aswell. There has been those wicked step sisters act during initiations, public humiliation, harrassment, I’ve seen some friends with cigarette wounds from disciplinary actions and I’ve witnessed cat fights between two sororities over some issue. There has also been a infamous saying spreading about an activity during sorority initiations: Sarap o Hirap? (Pleasure or Pain?). I don’t know how true the stories are but someone can’t just automatically discount what you heard just because it doesn’t happen to one certain group.
