Adsense Publishers Can Now Encash via Western Union

Oh joy! Looks like the Western Union Quick Cash Option in Adsense is now available for Philippine AdSense Publishers.

This just means that you have the option to receive your Adsense earnings through Western Union the day after the scheduled payment is sent.

This personally means, I do not have to wait for 5 days for the check to arrive via courier and I cut down on expenses for courier! And I get to avoid the risk of having my check disappear without explanation from the post office!! (oh the agony… agony!!)

You can find more information from the following…

Bandwidth Burglar and the Zorpian Man Bash

Two topics! Expect a very long post…

I’m really not used to posting a blog entry on a daily basis but since I did wipe out all my old posts, and I’ve been gone for a month or so, I’m kind of surprised I’m not posting every 2 hours just to fill up the bowl again…

If you are part of my twittersphere, you may have heard me a few days ago rant about my depleting bandwidth. Today I got an email warning again saying:

The domain joiz.org (joizorg) has reached 80% of its bandwidth limit (1987.40/2000.00 Megs).

So basically I only have a little over 10mb left for website traffic for this month. I won’t complain. I know what happened now.

The Simpsons.. Do’h!

Other people may still be busy with their Harry Potter and the Deathly Harrows book, others might still have a hangover with the Harry Potter 5 movie, or even the Transformer movie (I am bitter, you hear that J, bitter! Madaya ka talaga). I, on the other hand, am excited with the upcoming Simpson movie. The trailer was just too funny especially the part about spidey pig! (oh gosh, look for that trailer if you haven’t seen it, it’s just too funny and I’m just too shallow when I watched it) And I am giddy about watching it in the cinemas if I get a chance. Let’s enumerate some of the things I’ve had interest on relating to the Simpsons.

Simpsons Statuettes

I’ve liked the Simpsons cartoons since I was in elementary and we used to save up to buy Simpsons statuettes. These are original toy figures from the mall (toy stores) that would probably be collectibles if we didn’t play with them and actually lose them in the process. I do remember playing with toy figurines of Homer and Bart and maggi (I have got to look for that Maggi toy) and his skateboard a long time ago. Bart’s skateboard rolled into a canal and Mark (my kababata who owns the toy figures) really got pissed at himself for not being able to do anything about it :(

The Proudly Pinoy Logo

Proudly Pinoy

There are a lot of logos out there declaring how proud you are of being a Filipino. I am also a proud Pinoy amidst being so wrathful about one of our bad characteristics in one of my posts here (but that’s a different story).

Well here’s another beautiful logo from Proudly Pinoy, they held a logo contest last Independence day up to July 11 and have declared the winner last Friday. Mr. Joe Talisic’s logo design took the top spot and nabbed the 10K prize money as well.

According to judges, this logo has it all and I couldn’t agree more. Aside from the nationalistic colors, the “hand carrying everything” does give you a sense of warmth, loving like how we generally all are. It’s simply amazing. This was one of my favorites actually. ^_^
Here are some of my other favorites from that said contest aside from the winner’s:

Although I did have an inkling to join the contest before, I felt I did not have enough skills and time to create a logo (bah excuses excuses joiz).

Too Sexy for the Bus

This is just too funny and cool to let it pass..

A German bus driver threatened to throw a 20-year-old sales clerk off his bus in the southern town of Lindau because he said she was too sexy…

Read whole story here: “Too sexy for my bus”, German woman told

I think that clerk’s cleavages should come with a warning. What a stunner! Woot! I don’t think the driver was being prude though, he was being honest. The sight of flaunted assets (especially women who are “flawless”) can be quite distracting. Don’t you guys agree? ^_^
Will this ever happen in the Philippines? I doubt it. When our men see a very “interesting sight”, they’d probably ogle, enjoy the view and would likely get in an accident if they become careless. Hehehe as the jeepney drivers and my crazy and egotistic friends say, “basta driver, sweet lover” kaya ang daming vehicular related accidents sa Pinas eh, driving related (road rage, driving distractions…) or otherwise (uhm, back seat accidents? whaaat?) :P
