Recall: Taste Asia Blogger Food Fest II

Accccccckkkkkkkk Now see, this is one mega ultra super bionic DELAYED post.

But oh well… On with the show.

(Exactly) One month ago, at this same time, I was here at this same place (uhm, in front of my computer where else), in this exact position. The only difference is, today I just got out of bed, a month ago, I just got home from Mall of Asia’s Taste Asia where the second (their second, my first) Bloggers Food Fest took place.

Taste Asia

Regla Bread

Kabukiran

during a burst of boredom and snack circumstances..

joiz: Pare, kain tayo, pan de regla  (Dude, let’s eat pan de regla)
sempai: Ano ung pan de regla? (What’s pan de regla?)
joiz: ung tinapay na may pulang matamis na chuva sa gitna (loosely translated: the bread with red sweet filing in the center)
sempai: ahhhh..
joiz: hehe ano bang tawag sa tinapay na to? (what is this bread really called?)

Dealing with Sweet Cravings

I am Joiz and I’m a chocoholic. I think I’m not the only one when I say that it’s very usual that I get cravings or sweet every now and then. I’m not just pertaining to chocolates (enough amount of chocolates can be very healthy) but also cakes, pastries, candies, ice cream, and whatever sweet things we can get our hands on.

The causes of these cravings can vary widely but chief among them are hormonal imbalances especially in insulin and serotonin, unhealthy dieting, Adrenal Fatigue, various eating disorders from the Body Dysmorphic Disorder group of symptoms, and even in very rare documented cases, premenstrual syndrome (National Institute of Health).

Addiction is not regarded as a cause of cravings so anyone who got those cravings should get a doctor to pinpoint the cause of the cravings and follow steps to fully combat it.

I should get this noted since I found this somewhere and should follow it.

  1. Remove temptations. Go through your refrigerator and food pantry. Get rid of the cakes, ice cream, cookies, etc. When you go food shopping, make a conscious effort not to buy sweet items.

Pizza Galore!

Here in the office, a number of people are disappearing, looking for new opportunities outside these four walls… But that’s not my point right now..

Just before they all disappear, they had this going away ritual of ordering boxes of pizza for the whole shift. So technically, we’ve had 3 going away pizza fest. Woooot!!!! I had four slices today *grins* and don’t scold me for eating a lot, that’s dinner ok? *sticks out tongue* I love free pizza hehehehe

Pizza!

Which makes me think, do I have to feed them pizza when I go on leave aswell? Hmmmm….
