When you’re nursing a migraine, a stiff neck and a runny nose for the last 39 hours, you tend to do weird things. I was playing with my Graphire — drawing the usual, anime and spidey man figures– when I decided to make a new header for my blog. By now, you should already realize that when I say I want to tweak and modify my header, I tend to change everything. This header modification is not an exception. And I present you my latest mistake, teh grunge makeover!!!

Sorta like an early birthday present for myself. It’s not yet completely finished, it’s still in test mode so kindly report your findings if you see any bugs and problems. I know I vehemently abhore the color pink before and pink is soooo not me but meeeh (goatse sound effect ba ito joiz?) believe it or not, I kinda like pink now, it makes me look more human (a few friends say I don’t look like a zombie when I wear pink), so yeah pink and I are friends.

After 3 months of startup attempts, the Bayanihan SEO Contest of SEO Philippines was reopened last October 1, 2007 with the client-side requirement finally working. Along with its opening, I’ve released 2 blog themes (one for blogger and one for wordpress) related to the contest. But the details I will withhold for now since I’m busy as hell and couldn’t upload the files for them. For now, I’m just pimping two of the sites I’ve refurbished the designs for (aside from the blog themes I mentioned), which also happen to be entries for the Bayanihan SEO Contest.

There are a lot of logos out there declaring how proud you are of being a Filipino. I am also a proud Pinoy amidst being so wrathful about one of our bad characteristics in one of my posts here (but that’s a different story).

Well here’s another beautiful logo from Proudly Pinoy, they held a logo contest last Independence day up to July 11 and have declared the winner last Friday. Mr. Joe Talisic’s logo design took the top spot and nabbed the 10K prize money as well.

According to judges, this logo has it all and I couldn’t agree more. Aside from the nationalistic colors, the “hand carrying everything” does give you a sense of warmth, loving like how we generally all are. It’s simply amazing. This was one of my favorites actually.

Although I did have an inkling to join the contest before, I felt I did not have enough skills and time to create a logo (bah excuses excuses joiz).

Main Course #1: A Dose of Reality

I guess I’m not going to be able to do any celebrations for the next few months unless I make more money than I am earning right now (himala, where are you? walang himala! huhu). I got obligated to help pay for the SSS loans. Believe me it ain’t no funny business this loan my family had during the time my dad left his job because of stupid employers. (One of the many reasons why I had to stop studying and look for employment).

Anyhow, I agreed that half of my income, starting next month, goes to my mom and the other half I budget for everything Fiona and I would need. I am kind of reluctant since I don’t earn as much as everyone else thinks. I can save up for trips and travels and all that bling blings, but I’m not filthy rich noh. I shouldn’t mind the sacrifice too much since it’s family and being eldest, they expect a lot from me. It just means good bye Palawan trip, good bye Subic outing, good bye Hong Kong, good bye concert at AsiaWorld, (amf ang dami kong pinag-ipunan at binalak na lakad na kailangan ko ipostpone! argh!), good bye ‘bonggacious’ anniversary anniversary? pffft ano ung anniversary? drama mode

Funky Funk Funk!

What the fu*k is going on? I was really really itching to blog during the weekend but I lack inspiration so excuse me if I’m throwing it all out now with all the ‘funk’. If other people suffer from LSS or last song syndrome, I am currently suffering from a last expression syndrome. I think the word ‘funk’ just burned itself at the back of my brain (curse you Kenns and your ‘flunky furry funk’). So excuse me again for the annoying overuse of the word. I don’t know if using it is a bad thing or a good thing but hey you can read it as though I’m saying the F word or some other word. Hmmm.. So ready? Let the annoyingly little funk begin!
